Twilight author Stephenie Meyer to guess on Oprah Talkshow

Stephenie Meyer has a new update on her website!

Hi everybody!

I wanted to apprise you all of a few upcoming things.

You know I’ve been doing the hermit thing this last year, in so far as media is concerned, and I’m not changing that now, but I am making an exception. I’m doing this for a good reason: I am so pleased and amazed and thrilled with what Chris Weitz has done with New Moon that I want to talk about it, and to show my support for him. And since I’m only doing one interview, better make it big. Really big. So….I will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, November 13th. Check the local listings on Oprah’s website to find out what time it will be on where you live.

Of course, most of the questions for Oprah will be designed for a broader audience than just die-hard Twilight fans, and I imagine people who read this site and other fansites will already know most of the answers. To rectify this, I’m going to answer your more specific questions on-line. The official Twilight Saga website (www.TheTwilightSaga.com) will be taking any New Moon movie-related questions you might have for me, and then I’ll answer those most frequently asked. I’ll post the answers on the Twilight Saga website and also here on my own site. Questions can be submitted to TheTwilightSaga.com from noon (Eastern Standard Time) on Monday, November 9th through noon Tuesday, November 10th. The answers will be posted Monday, November 16th—or New Moon Premiere Day, as it is known around my house. (Details about submitting the questions will be posted first thing Monday morning at TheTwilightSaga.com, you can also get more information below.)  CONTINUE READING…

Robert Pattinson Says Tentative Plan To Film Twilight saga: BREAKING DAWN on Fall 2010

The big news is what I reported yesterday. At the end of the press conference, I asked Rob “what movies have you committed to in 2010 and have you been told a tentative start date on ‘Breaking Dawn’?” He told me “I think the tentative time for ‘Breaking Dawn’ is fall of next year.” Also, he talked about his next movie “Bel Ami” and a western he might do with Rachel Weiss and Hugh Jackman called “Unbound Captives”. So not only are you going to get a lot of info on “New Moon”, you can learn what he has coming up. Take a look after the jump:

The Twilight Saga New Moon movie poster The Cullens: What were your thoughts where you reveal yourself in the sunlight?

Pattinson: My thoughts at the time or now? I just kind of came to a realization about that scene today. I guess one of the kind of closest moments that I’ve really felt to people’s emotional attachment to the character, there were so many extras there who were just ‘Twilight’ fans that’d flown in to be in the Town Square and just taking that one step off, that one step into the light, it’s been the one moment since the first Comic-Con where I felt the whole weight of anticipation and I guess responsibility as well to all the people who were kind of so obsessed with the stories. It was a good moment. It was very nerve racking. I felt probably the most in character that I’ve ever felt in the whole series at that moment.

Question: Can you talk about working with Chris Weitz this time around and if the syllabus he gave the actors worked with your acting style? CONTINUE READING….

‘Twilight’ Stars Answer Your Questions About Robert Pattinson

MTV asked Twilight stars Billy Burke, Kellan Lutz, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Nikki Reed, about Robert Pattinson off cam and their characters in the Twilight Saga.

Now, the fun continues with part four of “New Moon” Stars Answer Fans’ Burning Questions, starring three of our favorite “New Moon” males. Read on for their revealing thoughts on iPods, extra scenes they wanted inserted in the sequel and why it ain’t easy being Robert Pattinson.

Jamie Campbell Bower
Q: What is Rob Pattinson like behind the scenes?

Campbell Bower: Well, he’s into his music. He loves all kinds of music. I don’t know if there’s a tidbit I could give, a snippet of his life that I could give. He’s just a normal guy. I feel for him already, because people just want to know everything about him and feel like they own [people who are that famous]. It’s tough, man. It’s tough for them.

MTV: But Rob’s experience could be a preview of what’s to come for you after “New Moon.” Does that kind of fame concern you?

Campbell Bower: I don’t know. Probably not, just because of the character. I think people won’t be as in love with the character Caius as they would be in love with Edward. [Laughs.]

Kellan Lutz
Q: We know there will be more Edward in the “New Moon” movie than there was in the book, but did you and the other Cullens ever try to lobby for more screen time as well? CONTINUE READING…

Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson in Harpers Bazaar Cover

With Twilight, the young actors found themselves thrust into the spotlight. Now, while their characters are torn apart in New Moon, they couldn’t be closer. For more, see pictures from their cover shoot and video with a sneak peek at New Moon. Plus, 11 things you didn’t know about Rob & Kristen.

Rob Pattinson’s and Kristen Stewart’s rooms sit side by side on the thirtysomethingth floor of the Sheraton hotel in Vancouver (“the Couve,” as Kristen calls it), where they are filming Eclipse, the third installment of the Twilight saga. They spend a lot of time in their rooms in the sky — two Rapunzels of sorts entertaining themselves behind closed doors — because it’s really, really hard to go out. “There are like 15 different exits in this place,” observes Kristen of the tactics she and the rest of the Twilight cast use to avoid the paparazzi. She adds, “Rob is more frustrated with it, but he’s 23 and I’m 19. He had a couple more years to be an adult and to be independent, whereas just as I was getting to the age when it’s normal to go out by yourself …” She pauses. “But it’s boring because this is all I fucking talk about.”

Rob talks about it too. “Do you mind if we sit outside?” he asks as he stands in his hotel room, looking longingly out the window. “I need some air.” It’s a cold, gray day, but who is to deny him some freedom? (And chivalry is not dead, girls. A young man will still lend you his jacket. Maybe because he is British.) Rob doesn’t just face paparazzi, he gets clawing, shrieking girls too. New Yorkers may remember he was clipped by a cab while fleeing from the ladies on the set of Remember Me this past summer. “But at least that’s an experience, something new,” he says. “If it’s just screaming — and I know this sounds so ridiculous — that gets old. But sometimes when there’s literal chaos, it’s like being in a war zone, and that’s kind of exciting. You’re just running through the crowd of people chasing after you and no one knows what’s going on.” Rob has laid low for a few days — a disturbance in the Force so great that Perez Hilton (home of some of Rob’s 15,200,000 Google hits) felt compelled to post, “Where is R-Patz?!” “If I’m not out, I’ve had a heroin overdose,” Rob observes. “It’s one thing or another.”

At the moment, there is only one thing anyone cares about regarding these two, who, as Twilight’s Bella and Edward, manifest all of our vampiric romance fetishes: Are they dating or what? Well … it’s clear that Rob and Kristen are close — very close. Okay, who is the most romantic then? “I have a no-bullshit detector,” says Kristen, “so I’d have to say Rob is. I think romance is anything honest. As long as it’s honest, it’s so disarming.” Rob chuckles when asked the same question. “Um, I don’t know. What did Kristen say?” You. “No. I’m better at faking.” This is followed by a very long laugh. CONTINUE READING…

‘New Moon’ Director Chris Weitz Talks Bella Swan And Jacob Kiss

‘I can assure you we’re staying very, very close [to the book],’ Weitz says.

“New Moon” trailers have established fairly clearly the basic premise of the film: Edward leaves Bella. Bella is sad. Jacob helps Bella feel better.

For anyone familiar with “Twilight,” they know the central love story surrounds the human Bella Swan and the vampire Edward Cullen. It is the onscreen interaction between stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson that fans are paying their good money to see — to the point, Bella’s aural hallucinations in the novel have become visual onscreen, so that the two can have more screen time.

So fans were a bit concerned when they saw what looked to be a kiss between Bella and Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black in the second theatrical trailer. As a quick spoiler, in the novel Bella and Jacob do have an almost-kiss, but it is interrupted.

We asked director Chris Weitz if he fudged the book a bit to sneak in a full kiss between the most present “New Moon” stars.
